Claridges is one of the UK’s best known hotels in the exclusive area of Mayfair, London. Previously housing Gordon Ramsay at Claridges, the restaurant was undergoing major renovation before the arrival of the new Davies and Brook Restaurant.
With lead contractors Mastercraft appointed to handle the refurbishment works, each zone of this 1850’s Victorian building uncovered a variety of essential works to help stabilise and extend the life of the building.
The protection of structural steel is a speciality under our ThermoCoat brand and we were appointed to undertake the stripping and re-coating of intumescent fire protection to help keep the building compliant with modern regulations.
To avoid and prohibit the progress of other contractors working on site, our team carried out the installation of the intumescent coatings overnight across three consecutive days to leave the Claridges refurbishment compliant with 60 minutes of intumescent protection.
A great project which we were proud to be a part of and lovely to see this Mayfair landmark improved for continued use for many years to come.
